Shree Baba Pokharel is an economist. She received her Ph.D. from West Virginia University, Morgantown, USA in 2017. Prior to moving back home to Nepal in 2019, she worked in the Joint Committee on Government and Finance at the West Virginia Legislature, Charleston, USA. Pokharel’s academic research has focused on entrepreneurship, state and federal regulations, and taxation, primarily at the US federal and state level. She has authored and co-authored a number of peer-reviewed publications. Her work has been cited by Forbes and WV Metro News. She is currently working with the World Bank Group on project on skills development.
